SCIENCE

Science pathways at Tallangatta Secondary College provide students with access to important scientific ideas, knowledge and inquiry skills that they will draw on in their personal and work lives. The curriculum also provides students, as life-long learners, with a foundation from which they can pursue careers in medical and health sciences, sports science, environmental science/management, engineering, forensic science, psychology, technology and a plethora of other fields.

The Science curriculum focuses on developing increasingly sophisticated and refined Science inquiry skills and science understanding across the five domains of Science along with students’ analytical, reasoning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Students are provided with opportunities for advancement into a higher level or consolidation in a lower level if they feel it beneficial.

Our Science Curriculum meets the requirements of the Victorian Curriculum.
